LORI LIND

Soprano Lori Lind, whom the Washington Post hails as "radiant in voice and striking in stage presence," is recognized as an important young artist. She continues to be lauded for her interpretation of many roles including Aida, Norma, Leonora in Trovatore, Mimì, and Nedda. Equally at home in modern repertoire, she has sung the part of Miriam in Hoiby's The Scarf and Kassandra in the world premier of Andrew Simpson's Agamemnon. A versatile and intelligent singer, Ms. Lind has triumphed in several Mozart roles including Fiordiligi and The Countess. She has performed with numerous companies including Washington National Opera, Tri-Cities Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland, Opera in the Heights, Italy’s Ravello Festival, Opera Vivente, Opera Raleigh, Opera Theatre of Northern Virginia, Annapolis Opera, Center City Opera Theatre in Philadelphia, and Maryland Opera Society. Ms. Lind’s talents have been recognized with top awards from Gerda Lissner Foundation, Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation, Schuyler Foundation for Career Bridges, Connecticut Opera, Jenny Lind Foundation, Peabody Career Grant Foundation, Shubert Theatre Awards, and Tucker Foundation. The wife of tenor Daniel Holmes, Ms. Lind sings with Opera on the James for the first time in Don Giovanni.
